CBBAG BC Islands Chapter is pleased to
offer BOOKBINDING I with Joan Byers
on Vancouver Island this summer.
This course from the Canadian Bookbinders and Book
Artists Guild (CBBAG) introduces the various tools,
materials, sewing methods, and constructions
fundamental to hand bookbinding. You start with
the making of simple pamphlets and proceed to the
binding of two hardcover books. Bookbinding I
prepares you to explore bookbinding on your own or
continue with more advanced studies.
It will be a six day course: The options are:
a) three – 2 day weekends; b) two – 3 day weekends;
c) six – 1 day per week; or d) 6 consecutive days.
If you are interested, or know anyone who might be
interested, please let us know by June 20th. If you have
already stated an interest, would you please do so again.
