CBBAG Bookbinding I

This is a six full-day course from the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild (CBBAG) which introduces the various tools, materials, sewing methods, and constructions fundamental to hand bookbinding. You start with the making of simple pamphlets and proceed to the binding of two hardcover books. This course prepares you to explore bookbinding on your own or continue with more advanced studies. No bookbinding experience is needed.

Cost – Course Fee: $445.00 (+ $40.00 for supplies, paid on first day of class). Participants must be members of the CBBAG (membership information at: www.cbbag.ca).

Minimum number of students is four, maximum number of students is eight.

Note: This course is a pre-requisite for Bookbinding II.
