This six day course is based on the fundamentals of bookbinding. It introduces the variety of tools, materials and concepts fundamental to hand bookbinding. The course starts with the making of several simple pamphlets and proceed to the binding of two hard cover books. This course includes pamphlet sewing, lap stitch sewing, quarter, half, cloth case binding, and concepts of grain, warp and pull, swell, and the joint.
Cost – Course Fee: $445.00 + $40.00 for supplies to be paid to Joan on the first day of class.
Location – Joan and Ginny’s Studio, North Saanich

Cancellation Policy: Once dates are determined, full payment by cheque or money order must accompany registration. Should you have to cancel your registration, a full refund will be made if your request is received 10 days before the class start.
If you cancel closer than 7 days prior, no refunds will be made unless you can find a replacement for yourself.
